While Paper to Play in 20 Minutes makes several valuable points about Game Mechanics, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of Game Concepts seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to Creative Thinking. That said, the sections on Game Design are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in Iterative Design, this could be a truly outstanding work.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Paper to Play in 20 Minutes, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains Paper Prototyping made everything click for me. I've been struggling with Game Concepts for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about Game Prototyping - it reminded me so much of my own experience with Creative Thinking. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

The author's approach to Game Mechanics is both innovative and rigorous, providing fresh insights that challenge conventional wisdom. Particularly noteworthy is the discussion of Paper Prototyping, which offers a compelling framework for understanding Game Mechanics. While some may argue that Game Concepts, the evidence presented is thorough and convincing. This book is essential reading for anyone serious about Game Prototyping.
